What is Reiki?
Reiki is a holistic healing practice that originated in Japan.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner acts as a channel for the universal energy, directing it into the recipient through their hands. The recipient usually lies down or sits comfortably, while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or near various parts of the body. The energy is believed to flow to where it is most needed, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. Reiki is often used to support healing, release energy blockages, and restore balance. Consider it a massage for your spirit. Releasing tension helping you feel lighter and clear. When we do a reiki soundbath its combining two very relaxing techniques that have you feeling like you are floating in space.
What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is an experience where you lie down comfortably and listen to soothing sounds created by various instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, or Tibetan singing bowls. Like the word says , your are literally being bathed in sound. These instruments produce vibrations and tones that surround you, creating a meditative atmosphere.
During a reiki soundbath , the sounds are believed to resonate with your body and mind, helping to reduce stress, calm your thoughts, and promote relaxation. It's like being immersed in a gentle, healing sound environment that can bring a sense of peace and well-being. People often find it rejuvenating and refreshing, similar to a therapeutic retreat for your senses.
